Hawkins Trestle Table

Solid walnut trestle table, built by hand for a birthday.

The design went through several iterations before landing here: the trestle base wasn't just an aesthetic choice. With benches on both sides, corner legs would have blocked kids from sliding in and out. The trestle solves that cleanly: open ends, nothing in the way, and a base that's more interesting to look at anyway.

Built in solid walnut with traditional mortise and tenon joinery. Simple, well-proportioned, designed to last for decades not years.

As shown: 47" x 40" x 30" tall, sized for a breakfast nook. Can be tailored to your space in different woods and dimensions: white oak, maple, or whatever suits the room.
