Alameda Works pieces are made for people who think that way. Who'd rather invest in something local and lasting than replace something cheap in five years. Who want to know the joinery is solid, the finish is safe for kids and food, and the maker is someone they can actually talk to.
Every piece uses traditional joinery like mortise and tenon, hand-fit drawers, construction methods that don't rely on fasteners to hold together. Finished with low-VOC, non-toxic oils and hardeners that are safe for the whole house, including the kitchen table and the kids' beds.
